Wow, it's been a while since an update. So, as you can see by our main page, something big has happened! we have made it onto the soundtrack for the horror flick "Cheerleader Massacre 2". not only that, but we got the final scene and closing credits...big thanks to Joey!!!

we also may have 2 more songs in an upcoming movie as well. as for CM2, it is on-demand and pay per view, so download it, buy it...numerous times and watch your dreams of offing those annoying, peppy doo gooders come to fruition.

No, we're not dead, missing or avoiding you...we're still here and stronger than ever. we've been frantically writing new material and soon to be entering the studio to record our next release. no date yet, but coming soon bitches. we'll be at Cicero's at least once a month for the rest of the year with other gigs sprinkled throughout. lots of big stuff in the works too, so we'll update you on that when it's available.

so we've been writing a ton of new material as well as tending to some new opportunities with MTV, but we'll be at Mississippi Nights with The Incurables (Jimmy Griffin), Gordo and Feed the Flame.

TK&TS just signed a licensing deal with MTV to use our music on upcoming shows. we know for right now it will be appearing in the upcoming season of "Next", but keep your ears open, you may hear it in other places.

Our CD release party will be airing on "The Set" on Charter Cable channel 3 from 9/21/06 through 9/24/06. it will air again from Thursday January 4th through Sunday January 7th on channel 3 at 10:30. tune in to see the show, interviews and many many bleeps (i think the count was 44 potential FCC violations!!!)

many thanks to jacqui poor and her crew for all their hard work and amazing camera shots! i know the job isn't easy and we really appreciate their efforts. we'll be posting clips from the show on our site soon!!!

We have 2 shows coming up a block away from each other. the first is the 25th anniversary of Vintage Vinyl. there's 2 stages and 18 bands...we're starting things off at 12:00 noon on the outdoor stage, so come have lunch and watch alot of great music all day long.

Then, go get dinner and come right down the street where we'll be playing at The Duck Room at Blueberry Hill. One Lone Car is already confirmed on that show and we'll be adding a third shortly. the doors are at 8:00 and the show starts at 9:00. tix are $5 and the show is 21 and up.

"Gutter Kitten" CD Release Party scheduled for Mississippi Nights in St. Louis, MO. w/ special guests The Bureau, One Lone Car and Grant Essig. Tix are available from any band member, Mississippi Nights box office or by emailing us directly and we can setup to meet you or mail you the tix. We're also filming a DVD for the Charter cable show "The Set" so we'll have the DVD available soon. Come to the show to reserve your copy and see one helluva great lineup of St. Louis' best talent.

Tobi Kai and the Strays are the second most requested band on iChannel. This amazing project is the brainchild of Ken and Matt at The River and we owe them many thanks for asking us to play such a vital role in the launch of this exciting project. Bands from around the world are submitting their music for airplay as this new station is breaking new ground in bringing music to the masses. check it out

The Midwest Music Explosion compilation cd is released. This compilation features some of the midwest's finest bands and is sure to attract some national attention to the area. Tobi Kai and the Strays are very honored to be included on the cd and to also hold the 4th spot on the disc. This is a very good position for us as our different sound is heard early into the disc. Many thanks to Scott Gertken and the rest of the folks involved in bringing this project to life and believing in the wealth of talent this are has to offer. Tobi Kai and the Strays opened for the highly anticipated reunion show of Gravity Kills. Dubbed the "Killoween Freakshow", the original members of GK reunited for the first time in 6 years with The Strays, Lapush and The October. With over 1,000 people in attendance, the bands put on a local show that was not to be missed and will not be forgotten. Photos and Video from the show will be available soon, so check back often

TK&TS opens for Modern Day Zero at Mississippi Nights in a huge show sponsored by both KSHE95 and 105.7 The Point. MDZ has special guests from the band "Disturbed" in the house as well as a sold out crowd.

The Strays start what has become a regular tuesday night appearance at the House of Rock in South County. Initially used as a venue to cut our teeth and work out setlists, we've become very welcomed and look forward to the surprise acts that follow us each week.

Finished Tracking "Gutter Kitten" and it has surpassed everyone's expectations. Mixing will begin on May 18th and in the meantime, Tobi has assebled her live band and is going to begin rehearsals to support the upcoming debut release.

Tobi began pre-production with the fella's at Shock City Musicworks on the debut cd "Gutter Kitten". Many of St. Louis' top musicians have come together to write and record this exciting new project.
